Mayor of Kingstown has been renewed for a third season by Paramount+

Paramount+ has ordered a third season of Mayor of Kingstown, starring Jeremy Renner. There have been rumors for months about the renewal of Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon's series. Lead actor Jeremy Renner helped fuel the speculation in May by tweeting a slideshow of his character in the series with the caption, "Maybe time to make mental preparations for 3?".

Renner returns to Mayor of Kingstown after an extensive recovery process after being seriously injured in a January 1 snowplow accident that broke more than 30 bones. Season two of the series started two weeks later on January 15 and ended on March 19.

Mayor of Kingstown is considered one of Paramount+'s best-performing original dramas, behind only Sheridan's 1923 and Tulsa King during its last season.

The series follows the McLusky family, power brokers in Kingstown, Michigan, where incarceration is the only thriving industry.

Mayor of Kingstown is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios and Bosque Ranch Productions. The executive producers are Sheridan, Dillon, Renner, Antoine Fuqua, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, Michael Friedman, Dave Erickson and Regina Corrado.
