Kirkland (pictured) is the second actor to return to the series following the announcement that Natasha Marc will reprise the role of Cherry. Kirkland was last seen in the tenth episode of the first season of Mayor of Kingstown, but he played a character in season five of Yellowstone (2018).
In season three of Mayor of Kingstown, Kingstown and its residents are rocked by a series of explosions, as a new face of the Russian mafia takes up residence in the city and a drug war rages inside and outside the prison walls.
Mike McLusky (Jeremy Renner) is under pressure to end the war, but things become complicated when a familiar face from his imprisoned past threatens to undermine the mayor's efforts to keep the peace.
Mayor of Kingstown also stars Dillon, Tobi Bamtefa, Taylor Handley, Emma Laird, Derek Webster, Hamish Allan-Headley, Nishi Munshi and Michael Beach. Season three is currently in production in Pittsburgh.
Sheridan, Dillon, Renner, Antoine Fuqua, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, Michael Friedman, Dave Erickson and Regina Corrado serve as executive producers. Erickson is also the showrunner. The series is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios and Bosque Ranch Productions exclusively for Paramount+.
In addition to his work in the Taylor Sheridan world, Kirkland has also worked on CBS' Criminal Minds and USA Network's Monk.
