According to the official description, Mike encounters new players trying to fill the power vacuum left by the fall of the Russian gangs. This leads to a violent gang war, and Mike must do everything he can to prevent the city from completely collapsing.
At the same time, he tries to protect his loved ones from increasing danger and deals with a new, stubborn prison warden while also confronting his own demons from the past.
The cast also includes Edie Falco, Lennie James, Laura Benanti, Hugh Dillon, Tobi Bamtefa, Derek Webster, Hamish Allan-Headley, and Nishi Munshi.
Dillon, who co-created the series, previously mentioned that season four was important for continuing Renner’s artistic comeback following his serious accident. He praised the new scripts and described the upcoming season as “very rock-and-roll.”
Mayor of Kingstown season four premieres on Sunday, October 26, on Paramount+.
