Miami Vice is one the most innovative and powerful TV series of all time. Focusing on the Miami Metro-Dade Police "Vice" Department and it`s continued battle against the illicit drug, prostitution, and firearms crime underworld of the city of Miami. It used fashion, color, and a varied musical selection in order to accentuate and amplify the emotional undercurrent of the drama it portrayed.
I bought this series on DVD for next to nothing and am currently watching it. What wonderful nostalgia! I have already seen many guest actors who later became very famous. Bruce Willis (with hair!), Burt Young, Pam Grier, Terry O'Quinn, the list goes on. And then the music. I always liked Jan Hammer's opening tune, but with the visuals it's still great. So far I still watch this every episode instead of skipping it. And every episode contains at least one 80s classic. Tina Turner, Frankie goes to Hollywood, Hall and Oates, Phil Collins, ZZ-Top, you name them, I've heard them all. The design of the series also takes you straight back to the 80s. Shoulder pads, pastel colours, casual chic and things like that. Nice to see you again. I'm now towards the end of season 1 and the stories are actually getting better. So I will happily watch the other 4 seasons.
Ever seen the series on TV. Came across this by chance through Prime. That's nice to see again. 80's music. How it all started with those two. So much has been forgotten over the years.
