Joyce and Doug cultivate their naughty empire in full trailer for Minx's second season

Starz shares a trailer for Minx's second season, which would initially air on HBO/Max. "A lot of people wrote us off. But we're back and better than ever!" boasts Jake Johnson's Doug at the top of Minx's season two trailer. The same goes for the comedy itself, which was renewed at HBO/Max, then abruptly canceled and then bailed out by Starz for its second season.



The trailer, which was released Wednesday, shows how things continued after Jake Johnson's Doug Ophelia Lovibonds made Joyce full owner of the male nudity magazine at the end of the first season.

The trailer shows how Joyce is about to sign with a major publisher, when Doug shows up... and soon their collaboration seems to resume.

Since then, the magazine's popularity has risen. Rolling Stone (which, in a fun nod, was the first publication to write about the trailer) visits Minx's headquarters for a story about the company. Joyce and Doug give red carpet interviews about their success. And sales go up, up, up, causing Doug to exclaim, "We're going all over the world!"

The season two cast also includes Idara Victor, Michael Angarano, Oscar Montoya and new addition Elizabeth Perkins (Sharp Objects), as well as Jessica Lowe and Lennon Parham - whose characters are still romantically involved.

Minx returns for season two on Friday, July 21 at 9 p.m. The episode will be available on the Starz app and on-demand on July 21 at midnight.
