Netflix releases start date and photos for the final season of dramedy Mo

Mo Amer returns with new episodes of his Netflix dramedy series of the same name. Created by Mohammed ' Mo' Amer and Ramy Youssef, Mo follows the character of Mo Najjar, a Palestinian on his way to American citizenship who finds himself caught between two cultures, three languages ​​and a whole lot of bullshit.



In season two, he is stranded on the other side of the border and desperate to get to Houston for his family's asylum hearing. But as a refugee without a country or passport, he needs all the hustle and charm he can muster. His return home is just the beginning of his problems, as a new man in town wants to steal his old love Maria (Teresa Ruiz) and his falafel taco recipe.

In addition to Amer and Ruiz, Mo stars Farah Bsieso, Omar Elba, Tobe Nwigwe, Simon Rex and Johanna Braddy.

All eight episodes make up the second and final season of the series.

For their work on the first season, the series received a Peabody Award and a Gotham Award. Amer was nominated for Best Lead Performance in a New Scripted Series at the 2023 Independent Spirit Awards.

Mo Amer and Solvan “Slick” Naim are the directors and executive producers of the series. Ramy Youssef, Harris Danow, Jacqui Rivera, Azhar Usman and the studio A24 are also producing.
