The makers announced the news on Thursday morning with a few small teasers on social media. It is not yet known when we can expect the last episodes exactly. Videoland does say that the 'all-determining' season can be seen in 2024.

Mocro Maffia tells the story of the war between mafia bosses Pope (Achmed Akkabi) and Romano (Mandela Wee Wee). Big names such as Nasrdin Dchar, Daan Schuurmans, Pierre Bokma and Robert de Hoog played or are playing a role in the series, but Mocro Maffia is also a platform for young and new talent: Bilal Wahib, Oussama Ahammoud, Iliass Ojja and Walid Benmbarek broke through thanks to through the series. The series has been a great success since its start in 2018: in March 2022, Mocro Maffia had been streamed about 50 million times.
The film Mocro Maffia: Tatta also recently appeared on Videoland. It showed what the character Tatta (played by Robert de Hoog) has been doing all this time and what awaits him and Tonnano, among others, in the fifth season. In addition to the regular seasons, the streaming service previously also released the miniseries Mocro Maffia: Komgoed and the short film Meltem.
The first season of the series appeared in October 2018 and hit like a bomb because of the un-Dutch harshness. Mocro Maffia can now be seen in eight countries, including France, Germany, Japan, Indonesia and Belgium. The third season won a Golden Calf for Best Series, was nominated for a Golden Televizier Ring and won a #VideoAward for Best Video On Demand.
