The six-part Dutch series, Modern Love Amsterdam, is displaying diverse stories of love and relationships, which are based on the popular column from the New York Times. The columns shape the foundation of this heartwarming series where each episode shows love in its most varied ways. All of those are inspired by true events. The stories take place in Amsterdam, from the Central Train Station to the Amstel and in the Northern and Southern regions of Amsterdam.
The ensemble cast consists of Fedja van HuĂȘt, Jack Wouterser, Rifka Lodeizen, Eva van de Wijdeven, Arjan Ederveen, Hanna van Vliet, Yootha Wong-Loi-Sing, Hannah Hoekstra, Jonas Smulders, Werner Kolf, Romijn Conen, and Noortje Herlaar.
Modern Love Amsterdam is produced by NL Film with Sabine Brian as producer and Robert Alberdingk Thijm as showrunner. The episodes were written by Robert Aberdingk Thijm, Roos Ouwehand, Maud Wiemeijer, Anne Barnhoorn, and Esther Duysker. The directors are Mijke de Jong, Boudewijn Koole, Mischa Kamp, Mustafa Duygulu, and Norbert ter Hall.
The new series will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on the 16th of December.
