Amongst others, Michael Learned (The Waltons) will join the cast of Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story. The series revolves around America's most notorious murderer.
Michael Learned (The Waltons) will portray Catherine Dahmer, the grandmother of Jeffrey Dahmer. Dahmer's character is portrayed by Evan Peters (American Horror Story). Richard Jenkins (Berlin Station) and Penelope Ann Miller (American Crime) will portray the parents of the killer. Through incompetence, Jeffrey Dahmer was able to commit multiple murders over the span of several years.
Next to Learned, Niecy Nash (Reno 911!) has also been added to the cast. She will portray Glenda Cleveland. She was Dahmer's neighbour and was responsible for calling the police several times and even trying to get the FBI involved. Shaun J. Brown (Future Man) and Colin Ford (Supernatural) have also been added to the cast of the new series.

The series has been created by Ryan Murphy (American Horror Story) and Ian Brennan (The Politician (2019)). Last fall, the series was given the green light by Netflix. The limited series will have ten episodes, which will feature the stories of ten victims of Dahmer. Janet Mock (Pose) will be writing several episodes. She will also direct the series alongside Carl Franklin (Mindhunter).
