Alexander Skarsgård (Big Little Lies), Eiza Gonzalez (From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series), Sarah Paulson (Ratched), Sharon Horgan (Bad Sisters), Ron Perlman (Sons of Anarchy), Billy Campbell (The Killing) and Úrsula Corberò (La Casa de Papel) are also part of the eight-episode series. They join previously announced guest stars Paul Dano (Escape at Dannemora), Michaela Coel (I May Destroy You), John Turturro (Severance), Parker Posey (The Staircase) and Wagner Moura (Shining Girls).
In this version of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, two lonely strangers get a job at a mysterious spy agency that offers them a glorious life full of espionage, wealth, world travel and a dream apartment in Manhattan. The catch? New identities in an arranged marriage as Mr. and Mrs. John and Jane Smith.
Now married, John and Jane must complete a risky mission every week while also reaching a new milestone in their relationship. Their complicated cover becomes even more complicated when they develop real feelings for each other. What is riskier: espionage or marriage?
In addition to starring, Glover is also co-creator and executive producer of the series under his overall deal with Amazon Studios. Francesca Sloane is co-creator, executive producer and showrunner. Yariv Milchan and Michael Schaefer of New Regency are also producing. Amazon Studios is the studio.
