Mrs. America, with Oscar winner Cate Blanchett as Phyllis Schlafly in the lead, investigates how one of the most difficult battlefields in the cultural wars of the 1970s helped to change our political landscape forever. The series will premiere on Wednesday, April 15.
Conservative Phyllis Schlafly then campaigned in the United States against the Women's Liberation Movement and against the legalization of abortion and the gay rights movement. The series also has roles for Rose Byrne (Neighbors) as Gloria Steinem, James Marsden (Westworld) as Phil Crane, Uzo Aduba (Orange Is the New Black) as Shirley Chisholm, Elizabeth Banks (Charlie's Angels) as Jill Ruckelshaus and Niecy Nash as Flo Kennedy. The first season of Mrs. America has nine episodes. Those will probably be the only episodes, as Mrs. America will be a limited series.
