Ok I watched it and digested the concept of this show...or take my feedback or don't -- IMHO-. I was impressed by the candor of her mom and dad... and as far as Whitney... I think she has been a troubled soul for a long time. Very immature for 30 and even though she tries to act independent.. she hasn't done well being independent. Her dancing is going to help her mental health for sure but it was very clear that she still is very dependent on what others think of her... If they like and praise her she is happy and almost did a mini recital for her dad to get his approval.... kinda weird as you could see her emotions all over the place... I don't buy that her weight gain is all her disorder. Her lifestyle and her emotions play a huge roll in her gaining 250 lbs. Her friend was very clear as well that she never had a "chance" to be a career dancer. she was good but not good enough... and that seems to be the big message throughout the whole show... not good enough to meet dad's expectations, didn't do well in her career, not living up to her brother's expectations nor his success in being independent... not able to manage money or love life... so I get why she uses food for a crutch.. but loving her body.. I don't believe she does and I don't think she loves her life either.... She needs therapy for self esteem, and addiction counsellor for her food addiction.....
