In a joint statement, Weatherly and de Pablo expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to once again step into the shoes of these beloved characters and tell the next chapter of their story.
They extended their thanks to the cast, crew, writers, directors, and producers, as well as CBS Studios and Paramount+ for their collaboration. The fans received a special mention for finally seeing Tony and Ziva achieve a form of 'happily ever after' together.
The first and now only season is still available for streaming. The series follows the events after Ziva’s presumed death, which led Tony to leave the NCIS team to raise their daughter Tali. Years later, it was revealed that Ziva was still alive. She completed one last mission for NCIS and was then reunited with Tony and their daughter in Paris.
In NCIS: Tony & Ziva, we see how Tony and Ziva raise Tali together. Their relatively quiet life is turned upside down when Tony’s security company is attacked. This forces them to flee across Europe while trying to discover who is pursuing them.
Simultaneously, they confront their past and must learn to trust each other again in order to ultimately build an unconventional but happy life together.
In addition to Weatherly and de Pablo, the cast of the first season included Amita Suman, Maximilian Osinski, Julian Ovenden, Nassima Benchicou, Lara Rossi, Isla Gie, Terence Maynard, and James D’Arcy.
