The nominations of the Broadcast Television Journalist Association

After the nominations of the TCA the BTJA (Broadcast Television Journalist Association) also made their nominations known. The BTJA, of course, know their business because they have nominated only the best actors and series. Member of BTJA are well-known critics like David Bianculi and cracker Maureen Ryan, but also Michael Ausiello of TVline. It will be a battlefield again.

You can’t find your favorite? Then the journalists of the BTJA found them not good enough, or they got not enough votes. ‘Homeland’, for example, is nowhere to be seen and hence no nomination for Claire Danes. But that is not surprising, since the third season of ‘Homeland’ was not exactly positively received by many critics. Also ‘House of Cards’ as drama and Kevin Spacey do not show up anywhere: here again, it can be said that this is a series where many critics have comments on.

Also expected here, by the way, a heavy presence of ‘Breaking Bad’ and ‘True Detective’. But also ‘The Normal Heart’ from HBO will probably do well, as well as ‘Veep’, also from HBO. Some love for ‘Orange is the New Black’ will not be wrong. And here also drama category of the series and actors ('The Good Wife' is the only broadcast series) originate from the cable channels: and that's no surprise. The cancelled series ‘Trophy Wife’, ‘Enlisted’ and ‘The Crazy Ones’ are also nominated.
