Lisseth Chavez joins DC's Legends of Tomorrow, leaves Chicago PD

Lisseth Chavez will be leaving NBC series Chicago PD and will join the sixth season of DC's Legends of Tomorrow. After only one season, actress Lisseth Chavez (The Fosters (2013)) - who portrayed Vanessa Rojas - will be leaving Chicago PD. For the upcoming sixth season of DC's Legends of Tomorrow, Chavez will receive a main role in the superhero series. She just has to leave Chicago PD.

Lisseth Chavez will be portraying Esperanza "Spooner" Cruz in DC's Legends of Tomorrow. Cruz comes up with ingenious technology that should help to detect and protect against an alien invasion. Even though many call her paranoid, she prefers to call it prepared. She has actually survived an encounter with aliens, which makes her believe that she can communicate with them. As a result of that, Cruz is the perfect recruit for Waverider captains Sara Lance, Ava Sharpe and other Legends who are featured in the sixth season as they hunt aliens throughout history.
