Lead role for Babou Ceesay in new crime series Wolfe

Babou Ceesay (Guerrilla) will portray the lead character in Wolfe. Next to that, more casting news has been revealead about the Paul Abbott (Shameless) series that was written for Sky.

Wolfe is written by a writers team that consists of Cat Jones (Harlots), Georgia Lester (Youngers), Furquan Akhtar (Wolfblood) and Freddy Syborn (Bounty Hunters), and was led by Paul Abbott (Shameless). The series will be directed by Adrian Shergold (Mad Dogs) and Sean Spencer (Panic (2019)).

Babou Ceesay (Guerrilla) will portray Wolfe Kinteh, the best detective of Northern England. He is a genius at his work, but he has some issues in his personal life. He has been kicked out by his wife Val (Natalia Tena, Origin). The Wolfe team is completed by wonder child Maggy (Naomi Tang, The Salisbury Poisonings), the middle-aged single mother Dot (Amanda Abbington, Sherlock), team entomologist Steve (Adam Long, Vera) and the new Dominique (Shaniqua Okwok, Small Axe) who has a dark past.
