Cliff Curtis (Fear The Walking Dead) is poised for a major recurring role in Apple TV+'s upcoming series Chief of War.
The nine episodes of Chief of War, starring, written and produced by Jason Momoa, follow the epic and untold story of the unification and colonization of Hawaii from the point of view of the indigenous people. The series was created by Momoa and Thomas Pa'a Sibbett.

Curtis (pictured) will play Keōua, the cousin of Kamehameha (played by newcomer Kaina Makua), and believes he is the rightful leader of Hawaii.

Momoa (See) joins Luciane Buchanan (Filthy Rich (US)), Temuera Morrison (The Book of Boba Fett), Te Ao o Hinepehinga (Breakwater), newcomer Kaina Makua, Moses Goods (NCIS: Hawaii), Siua Ikale'o (NCIS: Hawaii), Brandon Finn (Magnum, P.I. (2018)), James Udom (Echo 3), Hawaiian actress Mainei Kinimaka (See) and Te Kohe Tuhaka (Vegas NZ) in Chief of War.

Chief of War is produced by Fifth Season (formerly Endeavor Content) and Chernin Entertainment. The nine-episode series is produced by Momoa, Francis Lawrence, Pa'a Sibbett, Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, Tracey Cook and Doug Jung, who also serves as showrunner.

Justin Chon directs the first two episodes and serves as an executive producer. Molly Allen, Brian Mendoza, Anders Engstrom and Jim Rowe also serve as executive producers.

Known for his work in movies like Whale Rider and Once We Were Warriors, Curtis can currently be seen in Avatar: The Way Of Water and is soon to be seen in Meg 2 for Warner Brothers. On television, his regular roles include NBC's medical drama series Trauma (2009), ABC's thriller-drama series Missing, and as Travis Manawa in the first two seasons of AMC's Fear The Walking Dead.
