New cast members for Netflix's The Abandons announced

New cast members for Netflix's The Abandons announced

The Abandons, Kurt Sutter's western action drama for Netflix, has added six actors to the series in regular roles.
The Abandons was created and produced by Sutter, executive producer of Sons of Anarchy and Mayans MC (2018). Sutter also serves as showrunner.

The series follows a group of diverse misfit families pursuing their Manifest Destiny in 1850s Oregon, while a corrupt power and wealth covets their land and tries to drive them out. These abandoned souls, the kind of lost souls that live on the fringes of society, unite their tribes to form a family and fight back. In this bloody process, 'justice' is stretched beyond the limits of the law.

The Abandons explores the thin line between survival and justice, the consequences of violence and the corrosive power of secrets, as this family fights to keep their land.

Series roles for the Irish Franciosi include the miniseries Black Narcissus (FX) and I Know This Much Is True (HBO), the second season of Genius (National Geographic) and The Fall (BBC/RTÉ One/ZDFneo).

Johnson was nominated this year for a guest role in The Last of Us and has previously appeared in Showtime's Your Honor (US) and in films such as All the Bright Places and X-Men: Dark Phoenix.
