Rafael Casal, Dee Wallace, Ed Begley Jr., Jane Kaczmarek, Eric Edelstein and Mousa Hussein Kraish (clockwise from left to right in photo) will appear in the Netflix series in what will likely be recurring roles.
Casal plays Neil; Wallace is Grace; Begley Jr. portrays Edward; Kaczmarek plays Lilly; Edelstein is Hank and Kraish plays Dr. McGinnis.
They join previously announced cast members Alfred Molina as Sam, Geena Davis as Renee, Alfre Woodard as Judy, Denis O'Hare as Wally, Clarke Peters as Art, Bill Pullman as Jack, Jena Malone as Claire, Carlos Miranda as Paz, Seth Numrich as Blaine and Alice Kremelberg as Anneliese.
In a statement given when the series received a formal greenlight last April, the Duffer Brothers teased, “While the heroes in The Boroughs have a few more years on them than the kids from Stranger Things, they are a similarly lovable bunch of misfits, and we can’t wait for you to join them on an adventure that is at turns scary, funny, and deeply touching.”
Casal played the role of Hunter X-5/Brad Wolfe in Marvel's Loki for Disney+ and had a recurring role as General John Cook in Showtime's limited series The Good Lord Bird.
Wallace can be seen as Margaret Buckley, the mother of Buck and Maddie, in a recurring role on ABC's procedural drama 9-1-1. She also recently had a recurring guest role on Paramount+'s Fatal Attraction.
Begley Jr. played Dr. Grant Linkletter in the CBS comedy series Young Sheldon and has also appeared in the Hulu comedy series Future Man and the Netflix comedy series Lady Dynamite.
Kaczmarek recently appeared in an episode of Apple TV+'s The Changeling and has guest-starred on NBC's This Is Us, CBS's The Big Bang Theory and ABC's Mixed-ish, among others.
Edelstein lends his voice to several characters in the animated comedy series American Dad! from TBS and guest-starred on ABC's Modern Family; and Twin Peaks and Shameless (US), both from Showtime.
Hussein Kraish has appeared in Starz's American Gods, Showtime's Super Pumped and Paramount+'s Star Trek: Picard
