Big names roped in for Guy Ritchie's new crime series for Showtime

The untitled television series for Showtime about two warring families in London with a global reach is in production in Britain.
Tom Hardy, Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan will star in a new untitled project from Guy Ritchie for Showtime. The project is a global crime series that revolves around two warring families in London whose businesses span every corner of the world and the fiercely loyal 'fixer' who must protect one of them at all costs.

Hardy (pictured, left) will play Harry Da Souza, a professional mediator on behalf of the Harrigan family, while Brosnan (pictured, center) will play Conrad Harrigan, the head of a successful Irish crime family based out of London for whom Harry works. Mirren (pictured, right) plays Maeve Harrigan, Conrad's wife and the matriarch of the Harrigan family.

The series is produced in association with Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios. The project will debut globally in 2025 on Paramount+ and the Paramount+ with Showtime platform in the US.

The Guy Ritchie project follows Paramount+'s order for a spinoff of the crime drama Ray Donovan, which would be directed and produced by Ritchie. The new series, titled The Donovans, is said to be "loosely based" on the hit series that ran for seven seasons on Showtime and starred Liev Schreiber as a professional 'fixer' in Los Angeles.

But Ritchie's untitled crime drama, which was supposedly previously titled The Associate and set in Britain, has now become a standalone series not linked to The Donovans.

“Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren are masters at their craft and we are honored to have them lead the cast for Guy Richie’s new global, original series,” Chris McCarthy, Paramount Global co-CEO and president/CEO of Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios, said in a statement on Wednesday.

For Ritchie, the project marks a new step into the world of television series after his Netflix series The Gentlemen. Both Gentlemen and The Donovans have storylines that revolve around Ritchie's signature strength as a storyteller – crime dramas set in London (in films such as Snatch and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels).
