
Set in a contemporary suburb, The 'Burbs follows a young couple - with Palmer as the woman who returns to the man's childhood home (Whitehall, pictured left). Their world is turned upside down when new neighbors move in next door, exposing the cul-de-sac's old secrets and new deadly threats shattering the illusion of their peaceful neighborhood.
Whitehall starred in the second season of Apple TV+'s comedy-murder-mystery anthology series The Afterparty and also appeared in Prime Video's fantasy series Good Omens. He will soon be seen in the British psychological thriller series Malice for Prime Video, opposite David Duchovny and Carice van Houten.
Duffy (pictured, second from left) appeared in Apple TV+'s period drama series Palm Royale last year, Pell (pictured, center) starred in Peacock's musical-comedy series Girls5Eva, Proksch (pictured, second from right) starred in the FX comedy horror mockumentary series What We Do in the Shadows for six seasons and Talwalkar (pictured, right) can be seen in the NBC comedy series Night Court (2023).
The series will be shot in Los Angeles in the same location as the original 1989 film, the Universal Studios Hollywood area. The 'Burbs (1989) from Universal Pictures and Imagine Entertainment was a horror-comedy film produced by Brian Grazer and starring Tom Hanks and Carrie Fisher.
