Scott Foley has signed on to star and executive produce It's Not Like That, a faith-based drama series on Prime Video. Foley will play the series regular role of Malcolm, a preacher and recently widowed. According to the synopsis, It's Not Like That follows Lori, a recently divorced mother of two teenagers. Malcolm is a preacher and recently widowed father of three. Their families once did everything together, but now Lori and Malcolm must navigate newfound singlehood, parenthood, and Malcolm's complexities as a modern preacher. Is this the beginning of a love story? It isn't. Or is it?
Foley (pictured), who is known for his work on shows such as Felicity, Scandal and The Unit, can currently be seen in the third season of ABC’s Will Trent. He also stars in the recently released Netflix film La Dolce Villa. Foley will return to the Scream franchise in the highly anticipated Scream 7, which is currently in production.
The series hails from Ian Deitchman and Kristin Robinson, who created and serve as showrunners. Jon Erwin, Justin Rosenblatt and Kelly Merryman Hoogstraten will executive produce for Wonder Project, along with Alex Goldstone for 42 & Anonymous Content and Kingdom Story Company.
