Emmy Award nominee Clifton Collins Jr. and Mo McRae have joined the cast of Apple TV series Lucky, Lucky is based on Marissa Stapley’s best-selling novel of the same name. Anya Taylor-Joy plays the eponymous heroine, a young woman who has left behind the life of crime she grew up in years ago, but must now embrace her dark, criminal side for the last time in a desperate attempt to escape her past.
Apple’s limited series is created by Jonathan Tropper and is currently in production in Los Angeles. Collins (pictured) will play Dutch and McRae will play Agent Eli Gates.
The two actors join previously announced cast members Annette Bening, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Timothy Olyphant and Drew Starkey.
Collins will next be seen in The Last Frontier with Jason Clarke and the JonBenet Ramsey series for Paramount+ opposite Melissa McCarthy and Clive Owen. He received a 2006 Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Television Movie for his portrayal of Jack “Bump” Hill in FX’s Thief.
McRae (pictured) is best known for his on-screen work in feature films such as the Academy Award-nominated Wild starring Reese Witherspoon, Den of Thieves and Lee Daniels' The Butler. He has had recurring roles on FX's Sons of Anarchy, Showtime's Ray Donovan, Fox's Empire and HBO's Big Little Lies. He had a starring role in HBO's The Flight Attendant.
