NBC's Tracy Morgan comedy pilot has added another big name to the cast: Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe.Daniel Radcliffe will star opposite Morgan in the pilot, which comes from several people behind 30 Rock, including executive producer Tina Fey. The series stars Morgan as a disgraced former football player named Reggie who wants to rehabilitate his image.
Radcliffe (pictured) will play Arthur Tobin, an award-winning filmmaker who moves into Reggie’s mansion to make a compelling documentary about the former football star.
NBC ordered the pilot earlier this month. The series hails from writer Sam Means (Girls5Eva, 30 Rock), who is executive producing with Fey, Morgan and fellow 30 Rock alum Robert Carlock. Universal Television, where Means, Fey and Carlock all have overall deals, is the studio.
If it does become a series, the comedy series would mark Radcliffe’s first role in a U.S. network series. He has worked with Fey and company in the past, having starred in the Netflix special Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs. the Reverend and the animated series Mulligan. The former Harry Potter actor earned an Emmy nomination in 2023 for his lead role in Weird: The Al Yankovic Story. Other roles include TBS's Miracle Workers (2019) and the feature film The Lost City.
