James Van Der Beek Cast in Prime Video's Legally Blonde Prequel Series Elle

James Van Der Beek will have a recurring role in Elle, the upcoming Legally Blonde prequel series for Prime Video.
Dawson's Creek star James Van Der Beek will be seen in a recurring role as the town's new mayoral candidate and current school district superintendent Dean Wilson.



Known for his portrayal of Dawson Leery on The WB’s ’90s series Dawson’s Creek, Van Der Beek (pictured) also played a fictionalized version of himself on ABC’s cult sitcom Don’t Trust the B---- in Apartment 23. He also starred in CSI: Cyber ​​as FBI agent Elijah Mundo and appeared as Matt Bromley in the first season of the FX drama Pose.

Created by Laura Kittrell (Insecure), Elle follows Elle Woods through high school as viewers learn about the life experiences that shaped her. The series is set years before the events of the first film, which began when Elle Woods (Reese Witherspoon) graduated from college and headed to Harvard Law to pursue a legal career.
