Four-time Emmy nominee Marcia Gay Harden joins Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Richard Madden in the main cast of Netflix series Trinity. Trinity follows a heroic female naval officer who becomes embroiled in a relationship with the seemingly charismatic Secretary of Defense, only to discover that he may be the head of a dangerous plot.
The series comes from showrunner, writer and executive producer Jed Mercurio.

Gugu Mbatha-Raw plays Commander Katherine Decker, second-in-command of the USS Kansas, a nuclear submarine considered one of the deadliest weapons in the world. Richard Madden plays Secretary of Defense Webb Preston, a politician whose technological background sets him apart from his colleagues. His innovative approach and determination are seen by many as a threat.
Marcia Gay Harden plays Margaret Vandenburg, the CEO and matriarch of a family business that, under her leadership, has grown into an influential dynasty with political connections. Harden can be seen in her two-time Emmy-nominated role on The Morning Show on Apple TV+ and starred in the CBS dramedy So Help Me Todd. She also starred in season two of the Fox series Murder in a Small Town.
In addition to Mercurio, Jimmy Mulville (for Hat Trick Mercurio) and Wendy Mericle serve as executive producers. Michael Cuesta will direct and executive produce the first two episodes.
