Created by showrunner, writer and executive producer Jed Mercurio, the series centers on a female Navy officer who becomes entangled in a dangerous conspiracy surrounding the charismatic Secretary of Defense.

The new cast members each have specific roles: Bruce Greenwood (The Fall of the House of Usher) plays Special Agent Eric Colby, Robert Wisdom (The Wire) is Admiral Griff Tatum, Kirk Acevedo (Arrow) is Captain Jock Campbell, Ben Cotton (Mars) is Special Agent Jake Ryan, James Remar (Dexter) is President Paul Barnard, Jason Ralph (The Magicians) is Brooks Vandenburg, and Mark O’Brien (City on a Hill) is Dr. Brian York.
