Actor William H. Macy, known for Shameless (US), has been cast in Dan Fogelman's as-yet-untitled drama series for Hulu.Dan Fogelman's series is set in the world of the NFL. William H. Macy will play Hank Durkin. Christopher Meloni was previously announced as playing Danny Roarke, the head coach of an NFL team.

The series is being developed by 20th Television and Skydance Sports, with Fogelman serving as writer and executive producer.
William H. Macy is an Oscar- and Golden Globe-nominated actor, Emmy Award and SAG Award winner. He rose to prominence with his role as Frank Gallagher in the Showtime series Shameless (US), for which he was twice nominated for an Emmy for Best Actor and won two SAG Awards.
His filmography includes Disney's Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, Amazon's Ricky Stanicky, Seabiscuit, The Cooler, Magnolia, Boogie Nights, Jurassic Park III, Fargo, and Wild Hogs. Macy also made his directorial debut with the feature film Rudderless, which closed the 2014 Sundance Film Festival.
Macy can next be seen in the Paramount Pictures remake of Edgar Wright's The Running Man, and in the Netflix production Train Dreams, in which he co-stars with Joel Edgerton, Felicity Jones, and Clifton Collins Jr.
