Alastair Stout has already been confirmed as Ron Weasley, Harry's best friend. Harry Potter himself will be played by Dominic McLaughlin, and Arabella Stanton will play Hermione Granger. Weasley mother Molly will be played by Katherine Parkinson, but father Arthur and brother Charlie have not yet been cast.

These new names nearly complete the cast of one of the most highly anticipated series of the decade. The series, set to debut in 2027, has generated considerable anticipation, especially since the Weasleys play a crucial role in the books and the original films. Fred, George, and Percy are major characters, while Ginny has a central role in The Chamber of Secrets and ultimately marries Harry Potter.

As for the adult cast, some big names have already been confirmed: Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, and Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid.

The series is written and produced by Francesca Gardiner, with Mark Mylod serving as executive producer and director of multiple episodes.
