Warwick Davis has been confirmed as the first actor from the original Harry Potter film series to reprise his role in the upcoming HBO Original series.Warwick Davis returns as Professor Flitwick, a character he previously played in the films. His other film role, the goblin Griphook, is played in the series by Leigh Gill.

Additionally, new cast members have been announced: Elijah Oshin as Dean Thomas, Finn Stephens as Vincent Crabbe, and William Nash as Gregory Goyle.
Dean was a member of Gryffindor House at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, along with Harry, Hermione, and Ron. The half-blood wizard spent many years of his life unaware that his father was a wizard. In the films, he was played by Alfred Enoch.
Crabbe and Goyle were members of Slytherin House and always stood by Draco Malfoy, following his orders. Both are pure-blood wizards and children of Death Eaters. In the films, Crabbe and Goyle were played by Jamie Waylett and Josh Herdman, respectively.
The iconic lead characters are joined by new faces: Dominic McLaughlin (Harry Potter), Alastair Stout (Ron Weasley), and Arabella Stanton (Hermione Granger). Lox Pratt will play Draco Malfoy.
We also see the newly cast Sirine Saba as Professor Pomona Sprout, Richard Durden as Professor Cuthbert Binns, and Bríd Brennan as Madam Poppy Pomfrey.
The series, based on the beloved books by J.K. Rowling, premieres in 2027 and is produced by HBO, in association with Brontë Film and TV and Warner Bros. Television.
