Cape Fear is based on the novel The Executioners. The book previously inspired the classic 1962 film adaptation with Gregory Peck and the 1991 remake by Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg.
The series is described as a Hitchcockian thriller that not only tells the story of Anna (Adams) and Tom Bowden (Wilson) — two successful lawyers who are confronted with the release of the notorious killer Max Cady (Bardem) from their past — but also provides a broader look at America's obsession with true crime in the 21st century.
The ten-part series, currently in production, also features roles for CCH Pounder, Anna Baryshnikov, Jamie Hector, Lily Collias, Joe Anders, and Malia Pyles.
Margarita Levieva played the regular role of Abby Parker in HBO's The Deuce. She also had roles in Revenge (ABC), In From The Cold (Netflix), and Litvinenko (ITV). She was recently seen in Task (HBO), Daredevil: Born Again (Disney+), and The Acolyte (Disney+).
Ron Perlman is known for, among other things, playing Hellboy in two theatrical films and Clay Morrow in the FX series Sons of Anarchy. He also starred in the BBC series The Capture, Crackle's StartUp (2016), and Prime Video's Hand of God.
Ted Levine played the role of Captain Leland Stottlemeyer in the mystery comedy-drama series Monk with Tony Shalhoub and also had roles in The Bridge (2013) (FX), On Becoming A God In Central Florida (Showtime), and Big Sky (ABC).
