Kate Walsh returns to her comedic roots with a lead role in the pilot episode of The Tillbrooks (formerly Regency) for CBS. The Tillbrooks is set in 19th-century England and follows a wealthy family trying to navigate social expectations, love, and scandals.

Kate Walsh portrays Jocelyn Tillbrooks, the ambitious and theatrical matriarch determined to elevate her family's status at any cost. Her character is known for her dramatic flair, including breaking into song spontaneously and devising schemes to climb the social ladder.
She stars opposite Rhys Darby, who plays the role of patriarch Arthur Tillbrooks. The rest of the cast includes Hayley Griffith as the eldest daughter Maureen, Mia Challis as the youngest daughter Wilhelmina, Shiv Pai as head gardener Henry, and Jax James as Maureen's exceptionally serious young son Dougie.
For Walsh, this role marks a return to the multi-camera genre, in which she previously worked, including on The Drew Carey Show. However, she is best known for her role as Dr. Addison Montgomery in Grey's Anatomy and its spin-off Private Practice. She has also appeared in Netflix series like 13 Reasons Why, The Umbrella Academy, and Emily in Paris.
With its combination of historical setting and classic sitcom structure, The Tillbrooks promises to be a standout and humorous new addition to CBS's lineup.
