More revealed about actors in drama series Swimming With Sharks

The actors Thomas Dekker, Finn Jones, Donald Sutherland all have been cast for Swimming With Sharks, a drama series that Lionsgate makes for Quibi. Swimming With Sharks is a contemporary update of the 1994 film by George Huang. The series is written and produced by Kathleen Robertson (Murder in the First) and directed by Tucker Gates (Homeland).

The actresses Kiernan Shipka (The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) and Diane Kruger (The Bridge (2013)) have leading roles in Swimming With Sharks, as was announced earlier.

In the series adaptation, Lou (Kiernan Shipka), a young female assistant, works for Joyce (Diane Kruger), the female head of a film studio. It is a company full of manipulation and intrigues. But few in the film studio know that Lou will outsmart them in the long run. In the original feature film the main roles were played by two men, Frank Whaley and Kevin Spacey.

Quibi has now reported that Thomas Dekker, Finn Jones & Donald Sutherland will also join the cast. Thomas Dekker (Heroes) portrays Travis, one of Joyce's assistants. He is routinely insulted and humiliated by Joyce and uses the power he has by degrading the trainees working under him.

Finn Jones (Marvel's Iron Fist) portrays Marty, the assistant production of Joyce, who is also the victim of chronic verbal abuse. Donald Sutherland (Trust (2018)) portrays Redmond, the director of the film studio founded by his grandfather. He is predatory and sick at home, yet he is determined to stay in power as long as he can.
