Daredevil actress is cast as main character in The Cleaning Lady from FOX

The actress that portrayed Elektra Natchios in Marvel's Netflix series Daredevil and The Defenders has been cast for the leading role of The Cleaning Lady. Élodie Yung (Daredevil) will portray the main character in The Cleaning Lady, a new project from writer Miranda Kwok (The 100). Last January, FOX ordered a pilot episode of the series , which is based on the Argentinian series La Chica Que Limpia (also known as The Cleaning Lady (2017)). At first, Shannyn Sossamon was supposed to portray the main character, but she decided to leave. Yung will join Ginger Gonzaga, Adan Canto and Vincent Piazza, who were cast earlier.

The Cleaning Lady revolves around Reyna Salonga, a smart female Cambodian doctor, who worked in a medical centre in Manilla, The Philippines. She leaves to the United States to save her sick son. He requires specific medical treatment. A lot of things go wrong, but Reyna will never accept the situation. Instead of that, she becomes a cleaning lady and starts to play the game by her own rules.
