A killer role for Elisabeth Moss in series about murderers Candy Montgomery

Elisabeth Moss will portray the lead role in Candy, the temporary name for this upcoming series, which revolves around the murderers of Candy Montgomery.

The series - which is called Candy for now - is based on the true story of the murderers of Candy Montgomery from Texas. In the series, Emmy winning actress Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid's Tale) will portray Candy Montgomery.

It appears as if Candy is living the perfect life, until she is accused of murdering one of her church friends who also happens to be the wife of the man with which Candy had an affair. She is suspected to have killed her with an axe.

Robin Veith (The Act) wrote the script of the pilot. Nick Antosca (The Act) will serve as executive producer. The series originates from UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group. It is not yet known when and where the series will release.
