Spotlight on: Lindsey Morgan

Lights off, spotlight on! Time to see in which series this actor portrayed a character.
What do you do when a big series stops? A series that you've worked on for years and that has given a huge boost to your career. Which big project is suitable for the next step in your career? Lindsey Morgan is now faced with this dilemma, now that The 100 is ending.

Morgan isn't your average 90s child star. As a matter of fact, she has received her first small role in 2011, when she appears in one episode of the television series B-Sides. That very same year, she also makes an appearance in Supah Ninjas, a Nickelodeon series that revolves around three high school friends who become ninjas. The series managed to stay alive for two seasons.

Nonetheless, her talent is noticed. In 2012, she receives a couple of guest roles in bigger series. She is part of an episode of the comedy series How I Met Your Mother. Later that year, she does the same in Happy Endings. More importantly, is her first recurring role in General Hospital. Here, she portrays Kristina Davis for two seasons. It is the first time that the big audience is able to see perform for a longer time.

That Morgan doesn't sit still, is proven by multiple smaller roles in Franklin & Bash, The Flip Side and Shark Bites. She also acquires a recurring role in Destroy the Alpha Gammas. Even though this series only had one season, it won quite a few awards.

A big breakthrough happens a short time later. In 2014, a show emerges that becomes very popular in a short time, The 100. Here, she portrays Raven Reyes. The first season received quite a bit of criticism regarding its young cast and their inability to act well, but it doesn't diminish its popularity at all. Morgan's character Raven may not be the most popular, but she has to deal with quite a bit of competition. Throughout the seasons, she portrays one of the more important characters.

The 100 manages to keep Morgan busy for quite some time. Only once, she becomes part of a different series. In 2016, she has a guest role in an episode of The Night Shift. Now that The 100 has finished, she can look forward. In the upcoming period, Morgan will be primarily seen on the big screen. A big role will be her portrayal of Rose Corley in Skylines.

At the same time, preparations for the television series Walker have started. This series will also feature Jared Padalecki (Supernatural). Walker revolves around a father and widower, who returns to Austin, two years after his former partner died. Here, he tries to get back in touch with his children. Morgan portrays Micki, a character about which we do not know a whole lot at the moment. Something to look forward to!
