Down below, you'll find the top ten nominations for this category in alphabetical order:
American Horror Stories

Between the ninth and tenth seasons of American Horror Story, there was quite a long pause. Due to that, the creators decided to develop a new spin-off. An anthology series with storylines that would only last for one episode instead of an entire season. These stories would still be interconnected, which wasn't necessarily a bad thing, but it's not what we expected. The stories were also a bit dull. I expected more.
Bridgerton

Bridgerton was a true ratings hit for Netflix back in December 2020. However, not everyone was as positive. This series received quite a few nominations in this category. People expected more of Shonda Rhimes.
Doodstil

When you serve as the successor of a series such as Penoza, you've got quite a challenge for yourself. Doodstil didn't manage to do just that. Expectations were rather high. But that doesn't make it any less disappointing.
Marvel's The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

This year brought us a lot of Marvel content. Lots of it was pretty good, but some of it was disappointing. The story of the Falcon and the Winter Soldier was a bit too long and, despite some action every now and then, quite tedious. Hopefully, the characters will be part of something better in the future.
Lucifer

Lucifer is a series that has been resurrected several times. That the series has ended definitively is good news to some. Not everyone was that happy about the final season.
The Nevers

This Victorian HBO series didn't manage to make a lasting impression. A bit of trouble behind the scenes definitely didn't help. All in all, quite the letdown. It had a lot of potential.
Riverdale

I don't think Riverdale can be called disappointing at all, as you get exactly what you expect. This show doesn't display a quality story, but more or less quantity and storylines that are more reminiscent of illusions.
Snowpiercer

Snowpiercer is a series that sees a huge divide. This year it didn't end up in the best science fiction/fantasy series category, but it did end up here. Maybe the third season will change that next year.
The Walking Dead

Best science fiction/fantasy series or most disappointing series? That is the question that will keep us occupied when talking about The Walking Dead. The polarisation surrounding this series has been a topic to talk about for years. We'll see what happens once people have finished voting.
The Walking Dead: World Beyond

Just like the mother series, The Walking Dead: World Beyond has been nominated for most disappointing series. The polarisation doesn't seem to focus on just the main title. The spin-offs also receive a fair amount of criticism. The series only has a 6.6 average rating on MySeries, which is rather low for our website.
These were all the ten nominations that were nominated by you, the writers and myself. Would you like to pick something else? Don't hesitate to use a wildcard. Good luck voting!
