The nominees for best mini/anthology series were chosen based on input from multiple sources. First of all, the readers of MySeries have had a major (actually the largest) influence on the selection. In addition, my fellow reviewers have made their selections. And one thing is for sure, I fully support the list of nominees!
Below, in alphabetical order, are the top ten nominated best mini/anthology series from 2022;
Dahmer - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story

There was no doubt that this series would end up on the list of nominees. It has received a lot of attention in the media, which is of course quickly the case if a series is based on a true story. There would be a romanization of Jeffrey Dahmer, something that I found very far-fetched. Dahmer is portrayed as a twisted person. Evan Peters also plays the titular character with bizarre conviction. The series quickly topped Netflix's most-watched series, trailing only Stranger Things (and recently Wednesday). In my opinion, this is a major contender.

Dexter: New Blood

The Dexter series hadn't ended on the best note, to put it mildly. When the news came that a sequel was in development, I immediately had high hopes. The atmosphere was back to normal, there was a strong serial killer in it (besides Dexter then) and it was able to give Dexter a better ending. But the latter wasn't too tricky after the original ending of the series either.

Five Days at Memorial

Based on a (non-fiction) book about Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, the series takes place in a hospital for (as the title suggests) five days. A strong cast and the fact that it is about a true story makes it even more intense. Imagine you have to help patients in intensive care while a hurricane makes your work impossible. Very impressive.

Het jaar van Fortuyn

The series about the last period of Pim Fortuyn's life, including the election campaign for the second chamber and ultimately the attempt on his life. One of the black pages of Dutch history has been adapted for television. Nice to see that the Dutch series is also doing well on MySeries.
Inside Man

A complex series from the BBC in which two storylines become increasingly connected. One is about a death row inmate, played by Stanley Tucci, who is on US death row. The other storyline is about a preacher, played by David Tennant, in the English countryside. A unique series and deserved nomination.

The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey

Samuel L. Jackson shines in this Apple TV+ series playing a 91-year-old man with dementia. Another series based on a book. Temporarily, Ptolemy can remember his past. He seizes that opportunity to investigate his cousin's death and to make peace with his past. As always, Samuel L. Jackson puts in a solid performance.

Pam & Tommy

As the title suggests, this series is about the romance between Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee. More specifically about the period when the infamous sex tape between the two was made public. The series has been well received by critics, partly due to the strong performances of Sebastian Stan and Lily James. I haven't seen the series myself yet, but after reading the good stories, I'm definitely going to give it a chance.

Rampvlucht

Another nomination from Dutch soil which also displays a black page of Dutch history. This time about the Bijlmer disaster of 1992. The date of release was also a symbolic one, as it came out exactly thirty years after the disaster. The series has been very well received in the Netherlands and has also won a Golden Calf.
The Watcher

The series is about a couple who have moved to their dream home on the periphery. But after moving in there, they are stalked through letters signed by "The Watcher". This is another series from Ryan Murphy, who has been doing very well in recent years. For example, he is also the man behind the series Dahmer: - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story. The series was recently renewed for a second season. It is still unclear whether it will be a completely new story or whether the story will be continued. So we will find out later if this series belongs in this category ;).

The White Lotus

Just like the first season, the story is very strong, beautifully filmed, good cast and impossible to compare with other series. The entire cast is new except for Jennifer Coolidge and Jon Gries (Tanya & Greg). Throughout the series, there is a very subtle build-up of tension that regularly puts you on the wrong track. Towards the end of the series, everything comes together and there is a big culmination of events. Season 1 was one of the big winners at the Emmys, winning no less than ten. The series was recently renewed for a third season.

As you have seen, it is a very diverse list of nominees. All good series and I'm very curious to see who will eventually win!
These were all ten nominees nominated by the readers, the writers, and myself. If you still want to choose a different series, you can always use your wildcard. Good luck voting!
