Beth Rowley is a British singer-songwriter who you should know if you like soul, jazz and a bit of that old-school charm. Her debut album Little Dreamer entered the charts in 2008 and became a smash. She also worked briefly with Crowded House and Duke Special.
You and me
Me and you
Somehow we made it through
I may be gone
I may be far away
But I walk beside you
Every step of the way
When you're used
Bruised
Black and blued
Don't think about it
Never doubt it
I'll walk beside you
I Walk Beside You was made especially for the BBC series Strike, based on the books by J.K. Rowling (but as Robert Galbraith). The music is a collaboration between Adrian Johnston and Crispin Letts and was first played in the intro to The Cuckoo's Calling in 2017.

Small spoiler: you won't find it on the usual streaming platforms, but don't worry – it can be found on SoundCloud. Unfortunately, we don't have a live version of Beth Rowley singing the song, so we'll have to make do with the recording above.
