This thrilling crime drama follows Oswald Cobblepot, aka The Penguin, as he fights for power over Gotham City. With the city in danger following the events of The Batman, Oswald tries to fill the power vacuum left by the death of Carmine Falcone. He also tries to finally give his mother Francis the life he always promised her. To seize power in the city, Oswald must first confront his enemies, who sometimes come from unexpected quarters.

The focus was originally entirely on the main character The Penguin. After his fantastic performance in The Batman, Colin Farrell once again takes on the role of the beloved character. He almost literally takes on the role of the character, as he is unrecognizable after a four-hour metamorphosis as The Penguin. His gait and posture are meticulously crafted. All praise to him for this excellent acting. However, as a viewer, you will already become curious about another character after the first episode. I am talking about the daughter of the notorious crime boss Carmine Falcone, Sofia Falcone.
Sofia Falcone is a complex and intriguing character in The Penguin. The character is portrayed in a matchless way by Cristin Milioti. After a period in Arkham, she returns to Gotham to regain control of the criminal underworld. Sofia is a ruthless and psychopathic serial killer. She has reportedly murdered at least seven women, which led to her incarceration in Arkham. Partly because of this, she is known as 'The Executioner'. Her time in Arkham has left her deeply scarred, and she struggles with nightmares and hallucinations. Despite her dark past, she is determined to rebuild her father's criminal empire and seize power.

Sofia Falcone and The Penguin, aka Oz Cobb, have a complex and antagonistic relationship in The Penguin series. Sofia is determined to regain control of Gotham City’s criminal underworld, which brings her into direct conflict with Oz. Oz, who once worked for her father Carmine Falcone, now seeks to seize power himself. Sofia sees him as a threat to her plans and is determined to stop him. Their confrontations are intense and tense, with Sofia’s ruthlessness and determination clearly visible.
I find Cristin Milioti's acting performance at least as impressive as Colin Farrell's. With her facial expressions, she can show exactly the right expression of what the character is experiencing at that moment. There is also an episode that specifically focuses on Sofia's time in Arkham. Horrible things are done to her and you are completely drawn into it as a viewer. The evolution from a broken woman to a ruthless criminal is a great acting performance. Therefore, she can rightly call herself a crowd pleaser.
