The event would open to the public at 10:00, with large lines forming outside just before then. But luckily for us, we could enter through the press entrance. One of the benefits of being a MySeries writer! After we got our press bracelets, we were allowed to enter, and free to look around.
The event took up a couple of halls. Many of them had stands with merchandise from your favorite shows, sometimes even handmade.

Quickly, however, we had to halt our shopping because we had an interview scheduled with Breaking Bad’s Dean Norris. Can’t be late for that, of course! Originally, we also had an interview scheduled with Billie Piper (known for Doctor Who among other things), but that was canceled unfortunately. We still got to see her in the main hall, where the public got to ask her a few questions. If we would have been interested in meeting her nonetheless, we could have paid for a photo and signature moment, but these were a bit too pricey to our taste.

Later on, David Tennant got up the main stage, where we got to see him goof around a bit. Fans got to ask questions. One of them congratulated him with being nominated for Best Actor in the National Film Awards for his role in Rivals; to the surprise of Tennant, who had not yet heard the news of his nomination. He also hyped up the last installment of Good Omens, promising us some onscreen romance and steaminess between his Crowley and Michael Sheen’s Aziraphale.
After Tennant left, the main stage became the battleground for the cosplay competition. Many cosplayers had brought their most beautiful and elaborate outfits, to try and win the different prices. See, for example, how Marvel's Moon Knight’s Khonshu has traveled from Egypt to visit the Comic Con.

But not just the main stage had things to do. Besides the aforementioned shopping, there was also a gaming hall full of new and old games to be played. Furthermore, if you wanted to, you could buy extra tickets to meet your heroes and get a signed picture. One of the heroes did so for free, however: Paul van Loon’s book signing was free of charge. The line was full of younger and older fans waiting for his autograph.

After the signing session, we believed it was time to go home. Before we would splurge all our money on merch. But not before taking some final pictures of some of the nicest (or funniest) costumes (and robots) we have seen.

I never know what to expect from a Comic Con, but now I have a bit of an idea of what it's like.
It was really fun to do this once! It was also really cool to be able to interview the actors. The interview will follow soon ;)
