It's such a cliché saying, but time flies. Around this time last year, I received a message saying I'd be welcome to join the reviewers' group.
It was so much fun to try something new. Series and movies are a passion that will captivate me for life, so why not? And I have to say, after a year of reviewing a wide variety of series, I realize it was a good choice. One of the reasons I wanted to write is because it's a kind of outlet for me. You can share your opinion on things that fascinate you, and then you can write a detailed report about it all.
It's also nice to have a reason to sit down and reflect, something I don't do nearly enough in my daily life. It feels like I'm getting back on track, because I'm once again caught up on current series. I've watched a serious number of series this year. Not just the ones I'm reviewing, of course, but countless others I've thoroughly enjoyed.
The series were of varying types and qualities, but they were all worth watching. Even if it was just to gain more insight into what makes a series truly good, or not.
I just wanted to share this. I hope to be amazed again this year by the countless series that are being released (and there are some seriously great ones coming!). Hopefully, I can give some of these top series a captivating review. But honestly, I do enjoy the diverse selection. Every now and then you stumble upon a series you've barely heard of. And then it's so much fun to bring a so-called hidden gem to the surface. So, for me, it feels a bit like a treasure hunt to find and review the most "underrated" series.
So to conclude (I'm rambling on), I hope to have as much fun next year as I did my first year as a reviewer.
Thanks to the editors for welcoming me to this team.
