New series hit by WGA writers' strike

Which series affected by the WGA strike have joined the growing list?
Daredevil: Born Again and Billions were re-added to the list last week, while FBI: Most Wanted, P-Valley, Power Book II: Ghost and Pretty Little Liars: Summer School temporarily suspended production Thursday, May 11 as the writers the east coast and their supporters wielded the pickets. And Friday, May 12, Prime Video's series On Call was the last to suspend production.

Power Book II: Ghost

In addition, Seth MacFarlane and the showrunners of American Dad! and Family Guy stopped working until the Writers Guild of America made a new deal with the studios. MacFarlane, Brian Boyle and Matt Weitzman from American Dad! and Family Guy's Rich Appel and Alec Sulkin told 20th Television this week that none of them will work on the series as long as the WGA continues to go on strike.

The Writers Guild of America is on strike and hundreds of television and film writers are on strike. Of course, that means that writing for many television series such as Evil, Stranger Things, Cobra Kai, Yellowjackets and Abbott Elementary has come to a standstill. MySeries keeps up with the latest news about delays and production stops as a result of the strike.

PRETTY LITTLE LIARS: SUMMER SCHOOL

HBO Max's Pretty Little Liars: Summer School, the fourth series in the PLL franchise and the sequel to Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, was filming in the small town of Newburgh, outside the Big Apple. It's unclear if production was formally shut down for the day, but in the past, series like Billions have halted filming for a few hours due to picket fences.

POWER BOOK II: GHOST

The first spinoff in Starz's Powerverse attempted to film in NYC's Tribeca neighborhood, but everything ground to a halt when the fast-moving Rapid Response Team from the WGA East arrived.

P-Valley

After being plagued by WGA East strikes and being shut down for a while earlier on May 8, Marvel's upcoming revival on Disney+ on Wednesday, May 10 was once again targeted. Now Daredevil has gone black for the rest of the week.
