Nice research and nice list. Nicely done :-) It strikes me that Apple TV scores so low. They have a lot of striking and often very good original content.

Apple TV is currently my go-to streaming service, even though I have Netflix, Prime, Videoland, SkyShowtime, Disney and HBO. Very good content and it just keeps coming.

As I read the research, Netflix is at the top of this list because it has been the best known for years and most people simply continue their subscription. In addition, not everyone can afford to take out multiple subscriptions to multiple services, so people have to make choices and then Netflix will not be sold off so quickly and is therefore at the top. Two years ago I didn't have an AppleTV either, but in the meantime they have made such good progress in terms of quality and offering that it is perhaps the best streaming service at the moment. I also see Viaplay in the list and that will undoubtedly have more to do with Formula 1. If you conduct a survey on quality, you will get a completely different list, but you will only be able to conduct that survey among the people who can actually rate all streaming services.

I only have Viaplay for F1 and Premier League football, they are becoming so expensive that I am considering watching both sports in a different, less expensive, but also less legal way. There isn't a single series on viaplay that appeals to me. Too bad they don't offer series/films and sports separately for a lower price.

Nice research indeed! I have Amazon Prime, HBO Max & Viaplay. I actually only use Viaplay for English football, but as Faceman says, they are becoming quite expensive so there is a good chance that I will also cancel my subscription. Anyway, it's still cheaper than physically visiting the matches :P Oh, and Viaplay doesn't have an option for English subtitles, that's the main reason for me not to watch series via Viaplay. I like HBO Max and Amazon Prime because they are so cheap and they have a small number of great series that are still running. Plus Amazon Prime gives free shipping on amazon.nl. I'm still bummed that YouTube Red/Premium stopped and canceled their ongoing series. Impulse, Wayne, Origin, Aim High, Lifeline, Weird City etc. Not great series but a bit lighter due to the lighter budget.
