What threw a spanner in the works for many series fans was the strike of the writers and actors in Hollywood. The strike that started in May did not end until September. Many series have been canceled or delayed as a result. The question is whether 2024 will become 'normal', because what is normal?
So again not a 'normal' series year, but we do have some lovely statistics;
Writers
First of all, MySeries.tv would like to thank all writers who do this voluntarily for their great work. Our writers wrote 216 reviews in 2023 and 265 reviews were translated into English. 48 columns have been written and translated. And thanks to Dave, 1684 news items have been written, 1512 of which were translated by Mike.
adding series
Our database is supplemented every year by enthusiastic members who would like to keep track of their favorite series(s). In 2023, we have tightened the rules for adding more and the number of series/programs that have been added is a flattering number. In 2023, we removed many series/programs that had 0 followers. But this year 1465 series have been added to our database. There are now a total of 20930 series/programs in our database.
Users/members
In 2022 we reached a milestone of 400,000 members, but that number grew again in 2023 because we added 79,997 members. We now have 485,764 members/users and are well on our way to reaching 500,000 members/users in 2024.
Votes/Checkmarks/Visitors
All these members have checked off 13,505,889 episodes in 2023. A series has been voted 107,648 times and actors have been voted 42,253 times.
But who received the most votes/visitors in 2023?
Among the characters, with 344 votes, it was Wednesday Addams/Goody Addams from the series Wednesday, number two with 333 votes is Joel Miller from The Last of Us and third with 225 votes is Peter Sutherland from The Night Agent.
The most visited series in 2023 was McLeod's Daughters with 74,026 views, The Rookie came in second with 68,675 and in third place was The Handmaid's Tale with 48,016 views. Together, all series were viewed 4,696,302 times.

All users together voted 107,648 times.
The Last of Us is number 1 with 1243 votes. The Night Agent is at 2 with 1046 votes and Wednesday is at 3 with 968 votes.
But which series was most followed in 2023?
All users together accounted for 379,329 followers. But undisputedly, Game of Thrones is number 1 with 3815 followers, followed by The Last of Us with 3238 followers and Grey's Anatomy is in third place with 3025 followers.

A total of 13,505,889 episodes were checked off. Of those, 441,708 went to General Hospital, 414,363 to Grey's Anatomy and 357,120 to Game of Thrones.
