Netflix brings new films such as Frankenstein from Oscar-winning director Guillermo del Toro – a project he has been dreaming about for 50 years. "Over the decades, the character has become so fused with my soul that it has become an autobiography. It doesn't get more personal than this," Guillermo del Toro said in a video message. The film RIP is also expected, a crime thriller with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. Affleck describes the film as "a really fun, challenging ride that keeps you guessing."

New comedy series such as Tina Fey's The Four Seasons, an adaptation of the 1981 film written by Alan Alda. Fey said they were able to assemble a cast of popular comedy actors who can create the same warm, human atmosphere as in the original.

New reality series further complement the current offering of must-see dating shows and behind-the-scenes sports series. Think of performance shows like Building the Band and social experiments like Million Dollar Secret.

Bajaria also announced new capabilities, such as the option for members to vote live from their screen in the future.

New live events alongside WWE, the Screen Actors Guild Awards and the NFL on Christmas Day. Bajaria announced that TUDUM, the global fan event, will stream live from Los Angeles on May 31 and that the new weekly late-night talk show Everybody's Live with John Mulaney will premiere on Wednesday, March 12.

New quality series and films, including Death by Lightning from David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, Zero Day with Robert De Niro, Black Rabbit with -and produced by- Jason Bateman and Jude Law, and The Beast in Me with Claire Danes and Matthew Rhys.

2025 also sees the return of many fan favorites, including three of the biggest series ever: Stranger Things, Wednesday and Squid Game. Bajaria revealed that filming of Wednesday has just wrapped and the second season will be released on Netflix later this year. She also revealed that the final season of Squid Game will be available to stream from Thursday, June 27.

Stranger Things co-creator Matt Duffer on the final season: "This is our biggest and most ambitious season yet." His brother Matt added: "At the same time, we think this is our most personal storyline. It was intense and emotional to film – for us and for our actors."

The Duffer Brothers also discussed two new series they will be involved with as executive producers in 2026: The Boroughs and Something Very Bad is Going to Happen. “We will stay with Netflix for a while; that has been our home for 10 years,” Ross said. “We couldn't wish for better partners. If, like us, you want to tell original stories, this is really the place to be."

Finally, good news for game fans. Squid Game: Unleashed is on track to become Netflix's most downloaded game ever. Members can expect even more games in 2025, based on popular series such as Ginny & Georgia, Sweet Magnolias, Love Is Blind and Single's Inferno. Bajaria also announced that Netflix will become the exclusive home for the iconic WWE 2K video mobile games later this year.

Bela Bajaria ended the presentation with: “We are the best in film, television, documentaries, stand-up, animation and live events — and we do this in 50 languages. We are not afraid to go all out new talents and ideas – whether it's a plot twist, an original story or a big live moment."

“Bold choices. Creativity. Surprises. Fans. Entertaining the world. That's what Netflix stands for. That's what our members come back for week after week, month after month, year after year. And we will continue to do this in 2025.”
