The 10,000,000th episode of a show was marked on the website this week. Statistics show that all the users who kept tags on which episodes they’ve seen, watched a total of 6,632,986 episodes last year.
Last month, research done by DJV Insights showed that 39 percent of all Dutch viewers binge-watched shows. When they do, its 3 hours in a row on average. This way, viewers can watch entire seasons of shows, often containing 12 episodes, in the span of a few days. Whomever binge-watches multiple shows while also watching regular scheduled shows, ends up in the several hundred episodes per year.
‘Which episode was I on, again?’
Anyone with a profile on MijnSerie.nl, as well as its English sister site MijnSeries.tv, can easily keep track of which shows they watch and which episode per show they’ve just seen. You can mark those episodes on both the website as well as the free and paid mobile apps. This comes in handy for those who watch a lot of shows and are in need of a clear summary of which episodes they still need to see. In turn, users can share the shows they've seen with friends.
The most watched shows in February were 'The Blacklist', ‘Revolution', 'Homeland', 'Arrow' and 'The Walking Dead'.
