James Garner dies

Television legend James Garner died last Saturday night.

The actor was known for his role in the comic western ‘Maverick’ from 1957. His role in de modern-day detective ‘The Rockford Files’ did not set Garner back. Garner won many awards in his long career including; three Golden Globes, two Emmy’s, two PCA’s, one TCA and a star on the Walk of Fame.

Garner’s last major role was in ‘8 Simple Rules’ from 2003 till 2005. Other roles were in among other roles; ‘First Monday’, ‘God, the Devil and Bob’, ‘Chicago Hope’, ‘Streets of Laredo’, ‘77 Sunset Strip’, ‘Cheyenne’ and ‘The Carol Burnett Show’.

Garner is survived by his wife actress Lois Clarke. He was married to her for 60 years. They have one daughter Gretta Scott.
