Corona crisis; which series to watch? Jos Herbrink's top five

It has become a well-known image, empty supermarket shelves, empty squares and shopping malls. People work from home or not at all. How can you spend that time? We have made a top 5 displaying series you could watch in these peculiar times.
Golly, if I wanted to create a top-five list with my favourite series. Not an easy thing to do. I watch a lot of different shows. While eating I think it's great to have one of those shorter episode series on (twenty minutes or so), but I've decided to list none of those as my top 10 series doesn't have on in there either. That's why I've sneakily added them down below ;-). Furthermore, I've also taken a look at the other lists to make sure there's a bit of variety.

5. The Night Of

It's been quite some time ago since I saw this series; it was in 2016. But what an amazing series this is! As far as I'm concerned, it was one of the best series of the year, but it didn't win a lot of prizes on MySeries. The Night Of revolves around the murder of a young girl. Nasir Kahn has picked her up from a party and driven her around town, after which both of them go home. When he wakes up in her house several hours later, it appears that she has been murdered. Nasir is seen as the prime suspect.

4. Band of Brothers

Well, this is an amazing series. If you haven't seen it yet, go for it now! If it's been awhile ago, I suggest you go and watch it again. It's what I did as my girlfriend had never seen Band of Brothers. Last week, we found the old DVD's and watched em right away.

3. The Boys

So many series that revolve around superheroes. In most of them, they try to 'save' the world. The Boys revolves around how they use their superpowers to abuse instead of help. A different type of superheroes series, really cool :-)

2. Shameless (US)

It's a shame that this series can't be seen legally in The Netherlands. But honestly, it should be seen. The great thing about Shameless (US) is that even though the show has already been going on for ten seasons, something new seems to happen every single time. It never gets boring, and it is very easy to watch.

1. Better Call Saul

One of my favourite series of all time is this show's precursor; Breaking Bad. But now I may actually consider Better Call Saul to be better than Breaking Bad. BSC revolves around Jimmy McGill as he turns into Saul Goodman.

Furthermore, I have some decent twenty-minutes per episode series. These you 'should' have seen; Parks and Recreation, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Modern Family, How I Met Your Mother, Silicon Valley, Young Sheldon, The Good Place and Ash vs Evil Dead. I have probably forgotten a couple, but you should be able to fill some time with all of these ;-)

Thanks for reading!
