5. The Night Shift

The Night Shift takes place in the emergency ward of a hospital in San Antonio. We see how employees who work the night shift - some of who are connected to the military - deal with all kinds of bizarre and extreme cases. The series consists of 45 episodes and has already ended.
4. ER

For fifteen seasons, the viewers could see how the doctors, nurses and patients make their way through life in County General Hospital in Chicago. Next to the personal lives of the staff, each episode also revolves around several patients. The show also features themes such as euthanasia, sexuality and child abuse.
3. Station 19

Station 19 is the spin-off to the popular Grey's Anatomy. This series shows the lives of the tough men and women who work in a fire station in Seattle. The spin-off revolves around Ben Warren, the doctor from Grey's Anatomy, who switches his doctor's coat for a fireman's protective suit. Station 19 often feels quite similar to Grey's Anatomy, even though station 19 revolves more about the people doing the job than the actual job.
2. 9-1-1

In 9-1-1, we are given a swift impression of the lives and careers of first responders - police officers, ambulance staff and firemen - those who put their lives on the line to help others. 9-1-1 shows all aspects of emergency services. It starts in the emergency response centre and it is then taken over by the firefighters or the police. The show features all different kinds of phone calls, varying from a shark on a highway to a burglar that finds himself under the attack of two enormous dogs.
2. 9-1-1: Lone Star

9-1-1: Lone Star is pretty much the same as the 'regular' 9-1-1, but it takes place in Texas and tends to focus more on the firefighters instead of other types of emergency services.
1. Chicago Fire

Chicago Fire is in my opinion the best emergency services series at the moment. For over eight seasons, this series shows the lives of the men and women from station 51. The series doesn't just show the lives of the men and women, but also the situations they find themselves in. This ensures that you're always on the edge of your seat. After Chicago Fire, it didn't take long for spin-offs to arrive; Chicago PD and Chicago Med. Regularly, these series have various crossovers. Those crossover episodes are called One Chicago.
Are you not a fan of the police, fire department or first aid? Don't worry. There will be more lists soon.
